A Solo Exhibition

Taiwanese artist CÓMO SHINZO uses his keen perceptive instincts to capture the fleeting, often-overlooked moments of everyday life. Through his work, the cold, rigid materiality of metal is transformed into a vessel that carries emotion and memory.

This is not merely an art exhibition — it is a contemplative inquiry into our contemporary condition and an introspective act of self-gazing.

CO-MELT embodies a critical state in which we currently find ourselves — a threshold where, under high heat and force, we collide, grind, stir, and ultimately fuse with one another, generating new forms of consciousness and possibility.

Using an angle grinder, the artist etches sparks and marks onto steel plates. Each act of creation becomes a dialogue between himself and the material — a process through which inner experience and the external world are co-constructed. From the cold, metallic surface, an unexpected warmth and power emerge through layers of meticulous polishing.
