《Unstable Utopia》不穩定的烏托邦 | Hyein Seo x Su Su Li x Sao Takana
If a world appears perfect,
it is likely something that has been constructed.
Utopia has never been a place to arrive at.
It exists between reality and imagination—
constantly emerging, yet always in flux.
In this exhibition, TARTCH presents three artists from different cultural backgrounds,
who, through photography and painting,
reopen our understanding of landscape, perception, and identity.
The landscapes of Sao Tanaka do not belong to any specific geography,
but arise from “nature” as repeatedly constructed through culture and history.
The images of Susu Li emerge from fractures within conflict and reality—
the wildflowers that bloom in war zones
are not symbols of romance, but evidence of life persisting.
The work of Seo Hyein moves between reality and the subconscious,
where the self is no longer stable,
but continuously becoming.
Within this intersection:
Nature is no longer pure
Perception is no longer reliable
Identity is no longer fixed
Unstable Utopia does not attempt to provide answers,
but invites you into this state of uncertainty—
to reconsider the world you believe in,
between seeing and understanding.
We sincerely invite you to the preview,
to experience together the shifting boundaries of contemporary perception.
